Verizon became the first telco to partner with Xbox as an official vendor, marking a bold move into the gaming world. To launch the partnership, we created a fully integrated campaign that brought NPCs (non-player characters) into the real world—turning stores into immersive gaming experiences.

The campaign captured major attention, with our stream ranking #2 in the U.S. and #11 globally for the day.






In select locations, a live-action NPC challenged customers with riddles, rewarding winners with Xbox accessories. To build further buzz, we teamed up with Team Liquid’s Average Jonas for a first-of-its-kind Twitch stream, where fans controlled his real-world adventure in real time—all leading to the reveal of Xbox All Access.
